Solar Pump Fund Request

Posted on by jonathanmaciver

We hear a lot of people disillusioned with charities these days believing funds are not well used. We always strive to use 100% of our funds out in the Gambia direct on the ground. Here is a particular request from our chairman in the Gambia Samuel Mendy who is in need of a solar pump for his borehole. The cost of this is in the region of £800. Samuel is a big man with a big heart, very consistent and dependable. He is a man of faith and shows that by helping many others when he has so little himself. He lives in a remote area to the North of the Gambia River and has been helping families recently widowed practically and spiritually. Life is tough in the Gambia and if he could get a solar pump for water for the crops and the family, it would also be a huge help to the neighbourhood. Anyone willing to support Samuel in this practical, tangible way? We can put you in touch directly with him and provide updates as to the development of installation and then you will hear from him directly on the difference it makes. Please share and like!
