Brikama Shop Grant

The Gambia Partnership were pleased to be able to provide a startup grant to Emmanuel & Hannah Coron in order to allow them to open a small shop in Brikama Nyambai. There are few shops in the area, which means that, until now, people have had to travel a distance to purchase basic provisions for their family.
It is hoped that the shop will provide a valuable service for the local community on their own doorstep, as well as providing the means for this Christian family to financially support themselves. In addition, the shop will provide an opportunity to witness to many and invite them to the local church.
The grant provided funds to enable them to buy enough stock to open the shop, along with covering the costs of the first 3 months of rent.
“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith” (Galatians 6:10)
