University Tuition Fees

The Gambia Partnership are glad to have been able to provide tuition fees, over recent years, for Abdul Rahman Koroma to allow him to attend the University of the Gambia. Abdul is a believer in Christ and he has been studying Architectural Engineering and has just entered into his final year.

The following comments from Abdul demonstrate how the Lord has seen fit to bless him through the funds which have been provided to the Gambia Partnership.

“I graduated from high school in 2017, with a very good result, but after that it was tough for me to fund and further my Schooling after my Dad had lost his first Job. I tried by all means but it was difficult, especially because of financial constraints. All my classmates and friends, who I had graduated with, either enrolled into the University, travelled abroad to go further in their studies or started working. I got frustrated after the second year had passed and I was just at home and the third year passed and I was still at home. I started praying and asking God to help me get into University. There were days I prayed and cried because it felt like I was useless.

During this period I learnt patience, I learnt God’s timing and most importantly I learnt faith! I had faith that God will make a way for me because Isaiah 60:22 says “I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.” This verse kept me pushing, it really gave me hope and courage, and not long after that God sent you guys to my rescue which I am forever grateful for. When my Dad told me that you guys were willing to sponsor me, I couldn’t believe it and I promised my Dad that I would never let you guys nor let myself down with my work. That’s why I try my best every semester to come out with the best grades.

Though I thought I was late to start University, which happened years after I graduated from school, this is the best time for me to be in the University, because I have built connections with very important people and I’m really grateful to God.”
